On the 19th of July 2013, Friday, I attended the first service of a 3 day session, led by Pastor Raison Thomas, organized by the City Revival Ministries, at the Emmanuel Assemblies of God, Singapore. It was 8:15 pm when I arrived after my work.
He based his sermon on Hebrews 12:1-2 12 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 13:8 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
It is God’s will for you to rejoice and the devil’s desire to make you sorrowful.
It’s not difficult for God to bless you or heal your physical sickness but what God gives importance is living a sanctified life. If God is with you, you will be blessed forever.
If God gave his only begotten Son as a sacrifice for us, will He not bless us and heal us when we ask Him?
He mentioned even though people are saved, yet they are not blessed – the reason being they don’t know Jesus intimately. God has called you to do higher things. It’s for this reason God has anointed you. God wants you to run and not be lazy. The reason people are not blessed is because they don’t proclaim God’s promises. When you speak with your mouth, God’s promises, you will receive your blessing. He encouraged the audience to change the thought pattern, open the mouth, and claim God’s promises. John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
You can speak life through your words. Open your mouth and speak.
The next thing we must do is to believe that you will receive your blessings and get rid of a negative spirit.
Since God is dwelling in our hearts, we don’t need to worry or take tension. No devil can touch us. The one who touches you touches the apple of His eye.
When you open your mouth and claim God’s blessings, you will receive your blessings – The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. In the Old Testament, we see the enemy camp being defeated when the ark of Covenant was seized by the enemies. Similarly, in the New Testament, since we are the temple of the Holy Spirit, how much more God will fight for us and defeat our enemies when the enemy attacks us. When God’s Presence is in you, no sickness can touch you. It is not your ability, but it is His ability. Jesus bore the sickness and nailed it on the Cross. He won over every sickness. We must have the awareness of Christ said Raison Thomas.
David’s brothers focused on the Goliath, but David focused on God’s greatness. Don’t look at the greatness of your problem, but focus on the greatness of God.
The anointing was strong during his entire preaching. In between the messages, he stopped and prophesied over people’s life. It was an awesome God anointed session. Praise God for a wonderful time 🙂
