Last Sunday, Geenu and I, attended City Harvest Church in Singapore Expo. The speaker was Pastor Phil Pringle from Australia. The service started at 10 am with Praise and Thanksgiving followed by Worship where you experience beautiful Presence of God.

The title of the sermon was “God’s Favor“.
Being in Jesus makes us highly favored
Ephesians 1:3 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
Presence of God brings Favor
Luke 1: 28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”[a]
Exodus 33:13-15 13 Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.”
14 And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” 15 Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.
When Favor comes, trials and tribulations also come. Favor doesn’t mean always bed of roses but both blessings and tribulations are part of it. Favor brings challenges in life.
Genesis 39:21 21 But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
There are times when you may not feel favored but you’re favored
Numbers 11:11 So Moses said to the Lord, “Why have You afflicted Your servant? And why have I not found favor in Your sight, that You have laid the burden of all these people on me?
Judges 6:17 17 Then he said to Him, “If now I have found favor in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You who talk with me.
Proverbs 19:12 12 The king’s wrath is like the roaring of a lion, But his favor is like dew on the grass.
Random Notes:
- Favor of God makes a person rise like a cream in the milk.
- The Anointing of God equips you to do what God has prepared for you.
- God raises your equipment with the level of your calling.
- You can access that power through supernatural language – speaking in tongues.
