Thomas Diary - A walk through my life

3-Nov-2012, Saturday

It was Geenu’s birthday on Nov 3rd. We had a simple celebration by having a chocolate cake and delicious home cooked chicken biryani.

At evening, we left for the family blessing meeting at Jesus Calls Prayer Tower, Midview city, Bishan. The speaker was Sister Selvibai from the Bride Prophetic Ministries, Kerala.

We were amazed by the full seating at the Jesus Calls Prayer tower. Every seat was occupied and later we pulled in extra chairs to accommodate more people.

After beautiful praise and worship, sister Selvibai shared her sermon by quoting Psalm 31:5

15 My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me

Ecclesiastes 3:11

11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

She mentioned fear is brought by Satan and is the main cause for unfaithfulness.

Satan causes dissension between husband and wife, and between the church members. In Job’s life, we see Satan causing division between him and his wife. But later, God blessed Job with double portion blessings.

Job 42:10 – And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. 11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the Lord had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold. 12 So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.

God is impartial. Just as God blessed Job, he will bless each and every one of His children. The God who blessed Joseph will bless us also.

In Joel 2: 26, we read

26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Joel 2:25

25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

In Esther 3:6, we read of Hamman who was jealous of a Jewish man by name Mordecai, and plotted to wipe out entire Jewish people from the kingdom of Ahasuerus.  But in the end, it was the other way round. Instead of Mordecai, Hamman and his whole family were annihilated by the King.

Sister Selvibai mentioned that we are the apple of God’s eye. Whoever touches God’s children, touches the apple of His eye. God will make you the head and not the tail. She encouraged people to witness the blessings which they receive from the Lord with others.  We must share our testimony about what God has done in our lives.  If we glorify God in the land where we live, God will glorify us.

She gave an example that Jesus is the main switch. If the main switch is on, all other switches will be turned on when we activate. But if the main switch is off, no switches can be turned on even if we activate other switches. God is the source of all our blessings.

In Isaiah 43:18, we read

18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

She encouraged people to let go of former things and live life with a renewed mind.

After the sermon, she prayed for each one individually. People were blessed by her prayers. Praise God for a wonderful time.
