Thomas Diary - A walk through my life

On the 8th March 2015, Sunday, Abigail, Geenu, and I attended the City Harvest Church service at the Suntec Convention Center. The service started with beautiful praise and worship. The anointing of God was awesome during worship.

Pastor Phil Pringle, the Advisory Pastor of City Harvest Church, shared the Word of God.

Ephesians 1:17-20

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

2 Kings 6:15-17

15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

When your vision is on the problem, you will not see the answer. The temptation is to look at the problem. Look away from your problem. Focus your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

The Israelites in the wilderness focused on the problem and started complaining. They were bitten by serpent. God instructed Moses to build a brass serpent on a pole and anyone who looks on the brass serpent will live. Jesus said the same about Him in John 3:16 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

Look away from your problem and look upon Jesus.

After the sermon, he prayed for people suffering from sickness and disease. He then invited people who wanted to accept Jesus as their Savior to come forward. The audience responded to the altar call in large numbers.

Praise God for the wonderful time 🙂
