Thomas Diary - A walk through my life

On the 3rd November 2013, Sunday, Abigail, Geenu and I, attended the City Harvest Church service at 10 am. The service started with beautiful Praise and Worship. The Anointing was awesome.

After Praise and Worship, Pastor Kong shared the sermon titled “Releasing the Promises of God”.

Everything God does starts with a dream. You got to make your dreams a reality by making right decisions. You will encounter difficulties in the process. There will be delays and your dreams may come to a dead end. And just after that you will receive the deliverance and reach your destiny.

Genesis 12:2-3 I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

Genesis 15:7-12

7 Then He said to him, “I am the Lord, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.” 8 And he said, “Lord God, how shall I know that I will inherit it?” 9 So He said to him, “Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” 10 Then he brought all these to Him and cut them in two, down the middle, and placed each piece opposite the other; but he did not cut the birds in two. 11 And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away. 12 Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, horror and great darkness fell upon him.

There will be demons that will attack you when you offer sacrifice unto God. When Abraham offered sacrifice, vultures came down to steal, symbolic of Devil stealing your seed.

How did Abraham overcome?

  1. He kept strengthening his faith.Genesis 15: 5-6 Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” 6 And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness. Psalms 91:4-5 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Genesis 15:5  Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” 1 Samuel 17:54 And David took the head of the Philistine and brought it to Jerusalem, but he put his armor in his tent.
  2. He kept sowing into others. Genesis 20:18 for the Lord had closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech because of Sarah, Abraham’s wife.  Genesis 21:1-2 And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken.2 For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. Ephesians 6:8 knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.
  3. He surrendered his best to God.  Genesis 22:1-5 Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” 2 Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” 3 So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. 4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off. 5 And Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad[a] and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you.”
