Psalms 78:9-11
The children of Ephraim, being armed and carrying bows,
Turned back in the day of battle.
10 They did not keep the covenant of God;
They refused to walk in His law,
11 And forgot His works
And His wonders that He had shown them.
Joshua was an Ephraimite but the Ephraimites turned back from the battle. They refused to use what God has given to them. They were indifferent to His works and wonders that God had shown to them.
Hebrews 2:3-4
3 how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, 4 God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?
The Anointing is what brings about the supernatural. Jesus Christ means Jesus the Anointed one.
Isaiah 61:1-3
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
The anointing holds an answer to every problem you have in your life. Anointing sets you free from every bondage. Holy Spirit is called the Helper, Comforter.
1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
What is the Anointing? The Anointing is the enabling of Holy Spirit that imparts God’s power and Presence. It gives you the power to perform supernatural exploits, beyond the natural.
Luke 4:14 Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region.
Matthew 10:1 And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.
Matthew 10:7,8 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead,[a] cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give
The Anointing is the power of God to heal all kinds of sickness and disease.
Where can you get the Anointing? Who Anointed Jesus?
John 14: 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—
God, the Father is the Anointer.
John 8:29 And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.”
2 Corinthians 1:22-22
21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, 22 who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.
God the Father is like a chairman. Holy Spirit is like a CEO. He is in charge of executing all the works of God. The Holy Spirit is the one who gave birth to Jesus Christ, resurrected Jesus from the death, and came upon the disciples on the day of Pentecost.
1 Samuel 10: 1 Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it on his head, and kissed him and said: “Is it not because the Lord has anointed you commander over His inheritance?
The Anointing makes you a leader and a captain of industry. Both the Marketplace and ministry must be anointed.
Zechariah 4:6
“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
Says the Lord of hosts.
Anointing is seven dimensional.
Isaiah 11:1-2
There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse,
And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,
The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The Spirit of counsel and might,
The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
The Anointing can be categorized as Anointing of Wisdom and Anointing of Power.
When the Anointing of God rests on a person, businesses opens on all sides. There is a peace and ease. When Moses laid hands on Joshua, the Spirit of Wisdom came upon Joshua.
Jesus has both Anointing of Power and Anointing of Wisdom.
Matthew 13:54 When He had come to His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works?
1 Corinthians 1:24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God
Ephesians 3: 10 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,
God wants us to anoint us with wisdom and power. Like the Olive, we must be pressed to release the oil. We must press to God the Father.
After the sermon, Pastor Kong invited the audience to come forward for the healing and deliverance. People experience tremendous healing and freedom from bondages. The atmosphere was electrified with the power of God. Praise God for the wonderful time.
