Thomas Diary - A walk through my life

2 December 2012

It was the last session of the Pastor Finny Stephen’s preaching at the Malayalam fellowship in the Emmanuel Assemblies of God Church.

The service started at 3 pm with prayers followed by beautiful praise and Worship. At 3:45 pm, Pastor Finny took the stage and exhorted members to speak in tongues. He mentioned there are different levels of voice – from the peripheral i.e.Throat, middle portion i.e. lungs and deep within i.e. stomach. He encouraged people to let the voice from the stomach.

Pastor Finny then preached on the message “Walking in the Presence of God” by quoting Ezekiel 47 from the Bible.

1 Then he brought me back to the entrance of the temple; there, water was flowing from below the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east); and the water was flowing down from below the south end of the threshold of the temple, south of the altar. 2 Then he brought me out by way of the north gate, and led me around on the outside to the outer gate that faces toward the east; and the water was coming out on the south side. 3 Going on eastward with a cord in his hand, the man measured one thousand cubits, and then led me through the water; and it was ankle-deep. 4 Again he measured one thousand, and led me through the water; and it was knee-deep. Again he measured one thousand, and led me through the water; and it was up to the waist. 5 Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross, for the water had risen; it was deep enough to swim in, a river that could not be crossed. 6 He said to me, “Mortal, have you seen this?” Then he led me back along the bank of the river. 7 As I came back, I saw on the bank of the river a great many trees on the one side and on the other. 8 He said to me, “This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah; and when it enters the sea, the sea of stagnant waters, the water will become fresh. 9 Wherever the river goes, every living creature that swarms will live, and there will be very many fish, once these waters reach there. It will become fresh; and everything will live where the river goes. 10 People will stand fishing beside the sea from En-gedi to En-eglaim; it will be a place for the spreading of nets; its fish will be of a great many kinds, like the fish of the Great Sea. 11 But its swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they are to be left for salt. 12 On the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing.”

Pastor Finny mentioned that the Anointing will take you to places God has destined for your life. He advised people to walk in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will lead you to the places He has planned for your life. He encouraged people to stay in the Presence of God. Don’t be a Christian just in the Church or a Christian hooked to the internet.

“When it comes to the spiritual blessings, we should not be content with what we have but we should thirst for more and more” quoted Pastor Finny Stephen.

John 7:37  “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

Ezekiel 47: 3 Going on eastward with a cord in his hand, the man measured one thousand cubits, and then led me through the water; and it was ankle-deep. 4 Again he measured one thousand, and led me through the water; and it was knee-deep. Again he measured one thousand, and led me through the water; and it was up to the waist.

Pastor Finny explained, as long as the water is waist deep or knee level, the control of life is in your hands, but as you walk deeper, you’re no longer in control of your life but the Holy Spirit.

Ezekiel 47:8 He said to me, “This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah; and when it enters the sea, the sea of stagnant waters, the water will become fresh. 9 Wherever the river goes, every living creature that swarms will live, and there will be very many fish, once these waters reach there. It will become fresh; and everything will live where the river goes.

The Holy Spirit will transform a spiritually dead person into a living person. He will take you to the Kingdom of God. Since we are the sons of God, God desires to dwell in us. God desires to dwell in a Holy Place. He desires to anoint you and grant you power over sin. There will be a fragrance of holiness in your life when you live in fellowship with God. Where there is sin, there is darkness. God is a God who speaks but He will also use your tongue for His purpose. Your members of the body will be used for the glory of God. It was only in the Most Holy Place, Zecharias heard the voice of God regarding the birth of his child. Similarly, we must be in close fellowship with God to hear His voice.

After the message, Pastor Finny Stephen led the people to pray. The anointing of God was powerful as he prayed for the people. The service ended around 5:15 pm.

Praise God for an awesome time 🙂
