Matthew 13:20-21
20 But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
7 Promises When You Meditate On the Word of God
1. God guarantees power
Joshua 1:5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you
2. God guarantees protection
Joshua 1:6-7 Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. 7 Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go
3. God guarantees prosperity
The key condition for is Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Put this Word in your mouth and agree with it. What we fear will take place. That’s why worry is bad. Jesus says don’t worry about tomorrow. Worry is the negative form of meditation. Whatever situation you’re in, ask Holy Spirit and focus on the promises of God for you.
You could see yourself living in the promises until you see being blessed. Meditation takes information and gives revelation. Meditation gives us revelation so that we know how to do, what to do, and when to do. Follow up your faith with the corresponding action. Meditation makes God’s blessing almost a certainty. For many Christians, the blessings are sporadic. That’s because we do not delight in the meditation of the Word of God. God will teach us how to deal wisely all the affairs your life.
4. God guarantees Presence.
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
5. God gives His Perfect Peace.
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
Shalom means perfect health, prosperity and peace. Every part of your life, you are completely at peace. Complete peace in every area of your life so that you can be in the perfect will of God.
Psalms 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
We may not know what tomorrow holds but we know who holds tomorrow.
6. God guarantees Patience specifically victory over anger
Ephesians 4:26 “Be angry, and do not sin”:[a] do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil.
Anger can transform to bitterness, to rage and to revenge. Everytime, you are angry, Satan comes to take advantage, his goal is to get inside you. Are you perpetually angry? Do you have the anger problem?
Psalms 4:4 Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah
Colossians 3:13 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
Just as Jesus forgave you, you must also forgive. If you meditate on the Word of God, you will never become angry.
7. God guarantees perfect victory over Satan.
Meditation is the powerful strategy over sin.
Psalms 119:9-11
How can a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed according to Your word.
10 With my whole heart I have sought You;
Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!
11 Your word I have hidden in my heart,
That I might not sin against You
Jesus quoted scriptures when the Satan tempted Him. This is how Jesus had victory over temptation. It is not enough just to be delivered from the bondages, but we must permanently fill ourselves with the Word of God. We need deliverance, that’s the first step. We must fill ourselves with the Word of God and then the devil will leave.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
1 John 2:14
I have written to you, fathers,
Because you have known Him who is from the beginning.
I have written to you, young men,
Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you,
And you have overcome the wicked one.
