On the 19th of May 2013, at 10 am, I attended the City Harvest Church service at Singapore Expo Hall 1. The service started with beautiful Praise and Worship. The anointing was beautiful during worship. After praise and worship, Pastor Kong invited Advisory Pastor, Phil Pringle on stage. The audience gave him a rousing welcome as he come on stage. He shared a brief sermon by quoting Psalm 23.
The Lord the Shepherd of His People
Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell[a] in the house of the Lord
Forever.
He mentioned that as a sheep, we are easily led. 3 things happen when we experience God’s Presence:
- Recovery
- Restoration
- Revival
To experience God, we must pass through the Outer court, Inner court and Holy of Holies through the blood of Jesus. Everyone is wired to worship. You and I are build to worship, said Pastor Phil Pringle. One of the worse things that can happen to a believer is to lose the wow factor or wonder of worship.
In the Gospel of John 4:24, worship is the first commandment.
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Mark 14:3-5, Worship is never a waste and it will cost us something.
3 And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His head. 4 But there were some who were indignant among themselves, and said, “Why was this fragrant oil wasted? 5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor.” And they criticized her sharply.
Rev 1:12-13
12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band.
After the sermon, he led the people into worship and invited people, who wanted to accept Jesus as their Savior, to come forward. People responded to the invitation and prayed the prayer for Salvation. The anointing of God was powerful during that time.
Praise God for a wonderful time 🙂
