Thomas Diary - A walk through my life

Today, we had an awesome time at Jesus Calls Prayer Tower Singapore during the Family Blessings meeting led by Pastor S.S. Samuel from Victorious Bethel Church, Chennai. He shared his testimony about how he came to know Christ and how God raised him to feed poor families. After his testimony, he mentioned God’s will for enlargement, multiplication, and establishment for individuals who attended the Jesus’ Calls Family Blessings meeting. He quoted Job 1:10 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

We see that Job was prosperous because of God’s blessing and protection. Similarly God desires to prosper and bless each individual’s life. In Matthew 14:15-20, we read

15 When it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, “This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food.”

16 But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

17 And they said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.”

18 He said, “Bring them here to Me.” 19 Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes. 20 So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained.

Similarly, when we sacrifice anything for God, God will bless us and multiply it back more than we expect.

In 2 Kings 4:1-7,  we read,

4 A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.”

So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”

Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.”

So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.”

And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”

The widows’ situation was so bad that creditors were about to take her sons as slaves but when she approached Elisha, he gave her an instruction. She obeyed the instruction from the man of God and because of her obedience, God blesses her with abundance for the rest of her life.

In 1 Samuel 1:15-20, we read

15 But Hannah answered and said, “No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord.16 “Do not consider your maidservant a wicked woman,[a] for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief I have spoken until now.”

17 Then Eli answered and said, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.”

18 And she said, “Let your maidservant find favor in your sight.” So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.

Hannah makes a vow before God to give her one male child and vows to give him for God’s ministry and God honored her vow and blessed her with 5 more children. Thus God is a God who loves to multiply, who loves to answer prayers.

Finally, Pastor Samuel prayed for each one individually and prophesied about God’s plan for them. Praise God for a wonderful time.
