A brief excerpt of the sermon by Pastor Kong Hee
If you can see the invisible, you can do the impossible – Oral Roberts
The Eagle maintains a razor sharp focus.
Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law
You need to have a vision of destiny or the person God wants you to be. Make sure you’re focussing on the right thing.
What makes eagle the most majestic creature? The eagle has the ability to soar towards the sun.
Proverbs 23:5
Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; They fly away like an eagle toward heaven
Psalms 84:11
For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly
Hebrews 12:2
looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
The most important vision we must focus on is Jesus Christ and what he has done already – His finished works on the Cross. It’s Jesus and what He has already done.
Romans 5: 1-2
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
When you focus on the right person everything else will follow. The word justified means declared righteous.
Like an Eagle, you focus on the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
Romans 5:21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
You must be convinced and declare righteousness by the power of God.
Faith obtains what Grace has made available for us. Condemnation and Guilt consciousness is the enemy of Faith. God wants us to be righteousness minded. You got to be convinced you’re the righteousness of God.
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
Isaiah 54:14-17
In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near you. 15 Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake.
16 “Behold, I have created the blacksmith Who blows the coals in the fire, Who brings forth an instrument for his work; And I have created the spoiler to destroy. 17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.
Like the eagle, if you focus on the Glory of His righteousness in you, you will not fear from oppression. Satan’s sharpest weapon is his mouth. That’s why he’s the accuser of the brethren. Devil means the slanderer. He will attack you. His goal is to put you down. How can I be righteous when I sin. God knows everything. He knows your good and bad.
Like an eagle, focus on the glory of His Righteousness.
Romans 10:6-10 But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’”(that is, to bring Christ down from above) 7 or, “‘Who will descend into the abyss?’”(that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”[c] (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
